Medium: Bas-relief sculpture
Materials: Cast paper and acrylic
Size: 14" high by 48" wide by 2" deep
This sculpture speaks of a lyrical spirit with its rhythmic fluidity. It was inspired by a winter the artist spent on a tiny island in Maine where the days were short and the roads slick with black ice. Black Ice was cast in paper from a thermal drawing on Styrofoam using an archival cotton pulp.
